... for making out in the car with my boyfriend. Hahaha! OH.MY.GOSH! We
werent totally making out, I was just giving him a goodbye kiss. Haha
For his birthday, we went to Mall of Asia. We drank till 12am then we
decided to go home. At 12.30, I dropped him off at Philcoa because from
there, he's going to take a bus ride to Paranaque (where he lives, which is like, an hour away). But it was so late so there werent a lot of buses passing by at the Circle. I told him
to stay in the car and wait until a bus arrives. I put the car
on hazzard.
We talked a little and then we kissed.
Suddenly, there was this bright light flashing in front of us, and the
first words that came to my mind was "Oh shit." In a minute, two cops
climbed down from the patrol car. Its headlights were still blaring in
front of my car. They asked for my license and for my bf to come down
and they talked to him for, like, ten minutes. I stayed inside the car
the whole time. After that, this cop came to the car and talked to me.
"Miss, can you tell me what's the occassion today?" he asked.
"Today's his birthday." I said.
"Ah, so he really IS telling the truth". Damn him, he almost didnt beleive my bf when he told them it was really his birthday. "why do I smell alcohol in your car?" he added.
"Officer, it's his birthday. He and his friends had a couple of drinks." Duh. He asked me if I drank too. I said no coz I was the driver. But actually I did drink. Hehehe.
Anyway, after they learned that it was his birthday, they decided to
let us go. They gave me back my license and we took off. We drove a
couple of meters to my bf's frat house, also in Philcoa. I parked the
car there and my bf and I talked about what just happened to us.
We laughed about it until we ended up kissing again, in the parking lot. Then suddenly... a cop was tapping on the window! As in the same cop! He beamed his flashlight at us and asked us to step out of the car. It was around 1am.
"I already warned you but you did it again. Come with me please.."
he said with an annoying smile on his face. The kind of smile that says
"this-kinky-couple-really-just-cant-get-enough-of-each-other" kind of
smile. Ugh. This time, I got nervous. Haha. He took us to this bigger
cop and gave him my license. God knows how much I begged for him to
give it back. Hahaha. What can I say? I was desperate. He just gave me
another annoying smile and radioed for a mobile to come pick us up.
They were going to take us to the police station. My bf called his
frat brothers who lived in the frat house (which was just around the corner) to
help us deal with the cops.
When the mobile came, their superintendent was with them. I talked to
the big cop and asked him again, while saying "super sorry" for the nth
time, to give me back my license. He didnt budge. My bf's brothers came to
help and told us to just bribe the police. I was super against the idea.
"Why dont you talk to my boss?"
The cop said. I went up to their boss, who was talking to a couple of
other cops (there were a lot of cops at that area by that time), and I heard them
speaking in "bisaya". YES! Bisaya! I quickly went up to them and told
them, "Manong! Paulion na mi ninyo
kay ginapangita na ko sa akong inahan ba!" (Officer, please let us go, my mom is totally going to freak!)
At this point, the boss was surprised to know that I'm bisaya. He then said, "Oh, lookie here, she's Bisaya too! Give her back her licence then." I was sooo releived because my being a Davaoena actually came in
handy. After that, there was a little chitchat about where my province
was, or where my bf's province was, and all that shit. They gave me
back my license at around 2am and we left. They kept my licence for
one and a half hours without actually having the intention of taking us
to the station. They were just in it for the kotong,
which we never gave. They held us up for one and a half hours, talking
about the situation and asking us if we were gonna elope and shit. Ugh. It was so obvious that they were just waiting
for us to hand them some bribe money. My bf slept at the frat house. Before
we parted ways, he said "I love you" Hahaha. How sweet. Wrong timing, though . The next day he told me his brothers were teasing him non-stop. Boys will be boys.
When I got home, I told my mom all about it as soon as I parked the car
in the garage. Of course she got mad at first because I arrived home at
around 2.30 in the morning. But in the end, she just laughed at me and
said, "All of this happened because you cant get your pants in place." Hehehe.
Haaaay. All in all, it was a pretty embarrassing experience, getting
pulled over by the police for making out. But it was also funny. We
just laugh about it now. Nervous laughs. Hahaha! Oh my, now my bf's
brothers know all about it and they're probably gonna make fun of us for
the next couple of days. Hehehe. But it's all good. I admit it was
stupid of me to park the car and make out again, but hey, I'm only
human. LOL!
